The point of the cartoon is to indicate that government does not “create” jobs. It can only move a job from the private sector to the public sector. This is because the public sector is paid for by the private sector, while the private sector funds itself, creating of itself the wealth of the nation. So to create a public sector job, the funds to pay for said job is taken from the private sector, thus reducing the funds from which private sector employees are paid. In other words, you take ~1 job out of the private sector to fund 1 public sector job.
What hit me as I chuckled at the humor of the cartoon was the possibility that Obama and his administration may be well aware of the economics. Does he know that he’s simply moving jobs from one sector to another? It’s a little hard to imagine he hasn’t had some advisor point this out, or that he and his administration would be so ignorant of relatively basic economic fundamentals that he just doesn’t know.
So what if he does know? That means that he’s intentionally moving employment from the independent private sector into government sponsored jobs. In other words, he’s moving the country from a free market to a socialist government run system. And he’s doing it very slyly.
By passing these TARP and stimulus bills, new jobs are being created for those who are struggling to find work. All of these are public sector jobs, as they are paid for by the government. If you haven’t noticed, economic recovery has been stagnant. This is in part because the jobs moved from the private sector to the public sector have lost their wealth producing capabilities. Private sector jobs create enough wealth to fund themselves and pay for the public jobs and programs that are forced on them. Public jobs are simply funded by those wealth creating jobs, very few of which actually producing any real wealth of themselves. Thus the wealth creation power is diminished by moving these jobs to public service. Additionally, the policies that are currently being pushed (health care, cap and trade) are additional wealth destroyers.
If this is intentional, it would seem that the plan is to create a cycle of government dependence, using government policy to covertly destroy prosperity in the name of trying to save it, then “save” the struggling citizens by moving them onto the government’s payroll. Private industry then continues to struggle, and more and more are forced on government dependence until government becomes the employer of the majority of its citizens, at which point the nation is forced to become socialized.
It seems extreme, just a stupid conspiracy theory. But for a man who has Saul Alinsky as a personal hero, I wouldn’t put it past him.

It doesn't seem extreme at all. He's doing it. Right in front of our eyes. So what's so extreme about calling him out on the carpet? It's insane. And then here we are about to jump on the government payroll if Jim becomes a teacher. Does that make us part of the problem?? :)
It seems to me that's exactly where he's heading with all this...
